Notater fra årets siste Mi2 på Cardinal (des-19), der vi startet med seks gode fatøl. Ettersom dette var den tredje var stemningen allerede på topp, uten et eneste edru blodomløp i sikte. Uklar korngylden med fint skum som varer. Engelsk appelsinmarmelade, furunål, kryddertoner fra kvieken og et hint av overmoden lime. Hint av røykmalt? Det lukter radioamatør-kjeller, brente gummistøvler er noen av komentarene - her var tydeligvis ganske delte meninger om denne. Jeg likte den uansett. Urtepreget bitterhet i avslutningen. Både interessant og lettdrikkelig.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 16.12.19. Cloudy straw colour. Foamy off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of lemon peel, burnt circuit boards and herbs.

Can. Hazy yellow body with a small, lacing off-white head. Strong and pleasant aroma of citric fruit, lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is refreshing fruity, citric, grapefruit, lemon and then some kveik flavors keep coming behind the hop flavors. Medium body and refreshing aftertaste. Refreshing.

Hazy yellow colour, tiny white head. Tartish grapefruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Grapefruit, tart pineapple and citrus in the flavour. Kind of white ipa. Okish.

On tap at Både&. Orange juice look with a finger-thick white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is grapey and grapefruity, with some pale malts and a sense of lactose-IPA. Didn't really recognize the kveik yeast, neither in the aroma nor in the flavor, which is more or less what could be found in the aroma with a little touch of bitterness added. Far from enough bitterness in my opinion. It's soft and full-bodied, with a nice carbonation level. Sort of feels like a carbonated unfiltered orange juice on the palate. Long hop driven finish. A nice brew, indeed, but it's too much on the juice/soft drink side I think. 180210
