Backlog October 2016. Clear amber body under a fine, big, tan head. Aroma is strong caramel, mild malt and slightly sour. Taste is light malt, light fruit, light bitterness and all over pretty dull.

Inititelt kjempefin aroma, men den falt litt sammen i smaken, litt flat og tander. Tørrende i munnen. Vet ikke helt.

26.09.2016, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Huge fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, co2 stinging in the nose, roasted grain, bark, grass, hay, paper, toast, sour caramel. Taste is slightly sour-ish roasted, weeds, bloodlike minerals, roasted grain, sour grass, bark, paper, hay, dark malts, caramel, metal tank, burnt toast. Medium bitterness, sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Meh!

500ml bottle, batch 19, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Trondheim. A stable beige head to a deep dark coloured body with a ruby glint. Clingy lacing. Roasted, almost burnt, aroma of dark malts, hints of black chocolate and caramel. Dark malty flavours of chocolate, dark dough and caramel followed by a roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (hotel room, 04.08.2016).

Bottle. An unclear orange-brown beer with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted and toffee-ish with nutty notes and some resins, dark chocolate and coffee. Yeast notes too. It’s medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated, semi-dry and decently bitter. Roasted malts, nuts, caramel and dark bread in the flavor, some piney hope and chocolate lurking in the back. Even some chalky yeast, especially towards the end, which is mostly roasted and caramel-ish. Overall, it’s a decent beer, but it’s too much on the yeasty side, and I prefer my brown ales more roasted and darker. 160620
