Smakt Mai -18

500ml bottle, batch 87, shared by Finn. Close to clear mahogany coloured body, spotty lacing. Stable fawn-coloured head. Restrained malt-fruity nose, semi-sweet. Nuts, raisin and dark dough to the flavour character. Mid dry malty-fruity finish. Smooth on the swallow. Satisfying. (Session with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 01.08.2017).

500 ml bottle. Slightly unclear brown body with a nice, creamy, lacing beige head. Aroma has malt, caramel, nuts and hint of chocolate. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel, fruity and nice chocolate with pleasant bitterness. Medium to light bodied with decent aftertaste. Not too impressive at the first sips, but it grows on me. Could have some more body, but otherwise it’s a nice beer without any sharp edges or surprises.

Pours dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, chocolate and hint of nuts. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, chocolate and nutty finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.. The body is a bit thin but otherwise a very nice beer.
