Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is very spicy with nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, ginger, malt, caramel, liquorice root, herbal tea, cough drops. Flavour is sweet and a little above moderate bitter. Body is medium. Quite spicy and sweet, but I didn't hate it, flavour is more bitter than I expected.

Big frothy light beige head stayed on a near black body. Spicy aroma with ginger & cinnamon. Medium bodied, fluffy on the tongue with well carbonated clean finish. Heavily spiced tastes of ginger, cinnamon, clove & nutmeg with fresh fruity finish.

Bottle @ home. Like a pumpkin ale, but way more dry and a bit less sweet. Loads of spices like cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. There's some maltyness in the finish. Not too bad, not unbalanced, but I'm not a huge fan of how spiced and dry this one is.

Draught @ Skaal. Poured dark brown color with a thin white head. Nutmeg, cinnamon, real spicy aroma, covering everything. Cinnamon quite strong with nutmeg and malts. Light bodied. Nice if you're into spicy beers.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', bottled in October 2017. A bit hazy, deep ruby with a medium large, foamy, stable, light beige head. Fairly herbal-spicy, slightly sweetish and a bit fruity aroma of massive ginger, some nutmeg, a touch of bergamot and traces of cinnamon. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, extremely herbal-spicy, slightly fruity-grassy taste of mainly ginger, bergamot, some nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon, followed by a long, very herbal-spicy, moderately dry-bitter, slightly peppery finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Totally unbalanced, way too heavy on the ginger, not an easy drinker at all. Still not undrinkable, but not exactly what I'd call a pleasant Winter Ale.

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Aroma of sweet nutmeg, cinnamon, yeast, malt and artificial speculaas. Taste has sweet speculaas flavor, weird cloying nutmeg, some licorice, malt and candi sugar. Very artificial unfortunately, not very good.

Bottle at home and it makes me very sad, black with fluffy white head. Loads and loads and loads and loads of spices. Speculaas, coriander, ginger, cloves, cardemom, mint, anice, licorice, ash. Moderate sweet and big bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Massive overpowering vegetal herbs and spices. Interesting to try but I can’t drink a glass of this and keep a smile on my face, had to drain pour this.
