Cask @ Charlotte Despard, Highgate. Golden with a frothy head. It’s very dry, hopped, but a fruitiness does give it a decent flavour.

Handpull cask at the Raven, Bath. Golden yellow, very slightly hazy with a tiny bit of white head and some lacing. Citrus notes in the aroma, along with fresh grass and a touch of soap. Fresh bittersweet taste with emphasis on the hop with some tropical fruit in the dry finish. Some cantaloupe, grapefruit and a touch of dried banana in the aftertaste. Not perfect but it tastes pretty good.

Cask ale, half-pint, shared with Finn at Three Tuns. Spotty lacing from a fading white head. Bright golden body. Rather dry aroma of mid-sweet fruits. Ripe fruity flavours followed by smooth leafy hop bitterness to the ending. Easy to drink. Likable. (Sunday pub crawl in Bristol 30.04.2017).
