33cl can from Supermercados La Nucía. Pours the expected pale golden with a small, white head. Mild grainy aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and hints of fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with weak grainy flavours and slightly dry finish with some bitterness. Thin, watery and pretty flavourless - just another macro lager.

330ml can from a local store in Port de Soller. Crystal clear golden body, Loose, chalk white head. Smell of grass and pale malts. Taste of dry lemon, a bit cardboard-like. Fruity notes to the ending. Floury hints. Foamy in the mouth. Thin bodied. About drinkable (hotel room, 07.7.2013).

330 ml can. Clear, pale golden body with a small white head. Not much aroma, grain and hay. Flavor is pretty neutral industrial lager, a bit sweet grainy with hint of fruit. Not much bitterness, thin body, almost no aftertaste.

Tap, Sevilla, Spain. At a Irish style pub right near the “Tower of Gold” Clear yellow color, short white head. Aroma of hops, some grain. Some bitterness but over all watery. To me, this is the Miller Lite of Spain.

Can. Clear, pale golden with a small white head. Grain, hay and some fruityness in the aroma. Some fruityness in the flavor, as well as grain and hay. Thin body and a quite fruity finish. Somewhat decent and drinkable, but not the beer you bring back from abroad. (070210)

Can (BB 01/2007)
Pale golden color, small but steady white head. Light papery aroma. Light palate, decent maltyness and hints of grassy-woody hops in the finish. Propably not hopeless pale lager when really fresh.

330 ml can, bought in Tenerife. Apparently Estrella del Sur originally was brewed (since 1959) in Sevilla, in one of the breweries bought and closed by the Damm group. Damm have kept the brand. Not to be confused with the 0.9% stronger Estrella Damm. Extremely pale crystal clear straw colour. Large and lasting foamy head. Pleasant fruity sweet aroma. Bland and uninteresting flavour, some faint unpleasant "boiled" sidenotes. Forgettable.
