Dark brown, some small chunks on the bottom, nice carbonation. Great malty smell; raisins, barley, some whiskey. Mouthfeel is rich, boozy, thick. Heavy yet smooth. Taste is savoury, whiskey, raisins and molasses. Amazing balance, just a great barley wine.

Bottle. Pours black/brown, greasy, with a small offwhite head. Aromas has bourbon, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, fudge, malt. Taste has bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, malt, dried dark fruits, sweet licorice, fudge, roast, malt. This might just be the best barleywine I’ve had. Damn, this is good.

Bottle @ tasting. Dark brown color. maple syrup and a hint of oak and dried fruit in the aroma. Figs. Malty sweet, alcoholic flavor. Figs, dried fruit. Bourbon. Oak. Vanilla. I have to admit, this is excellent!
