Old Fountain. Cask. Thanks to Paul for the scoop.Almost opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Good mellow dark malts with touches of coffee and dark chocolate. Little malt cream. Finishes smooth with dsrk fruits emerging. Good!

Cask at the Old Fountain. It pours darkest brown with a medium beige head. The nose is soft roast, juicy pine, cocoa, toast, light ash and caramel. The taste is smooth roast, toffee, toast, chocolate, pine, alcohol kick, cola, chewy malt, liquorice, resin and a good deal of bitterness with a very dry, roasty finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Smooth and flavoursome. Late Knight’s biggest beer to date is also their best.
