Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small beige head. Aroma has rich, dark malt, coffee, chocolate and piny hops. Flavor is sweet, medium roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and balancing bitterness. Fine body and nice aftertaste. Rather pleasant and a lot better than expected based on a few other beers from this brewery.

Black with a dark brown head - Raosted malt aroma with some dark chocolate notes - Dark malt body with some chocolate notes and some bitterness - The dark malt and chocolate goes into the finsh with some bitter tones - This was good

Medium dark brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty matchstick aroma with mineraly chocolatey notes. Dryish roasty chocolatey taste with burnt spicy notes. Full-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish roasty earthy chocolatey aftertaste with toasted rice notes. It’s not bad, but a bit harsh and edgy. (0.355l bottle, from Systembolaget, Torp. Lot #0001.)

Nice tasty evening sipper.
Black color with a fine thick beige head. God intensity in the aroma. Full body and a smooth carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Well blended is with coffee, toffee, vanilla and mild roast. Well masked alcohol.

355ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Motor oily pour revealing a jet black body and a low, brownish, bubbly head. Fragile lacing. Roasted dark malty nose with liquorce and ash. Raw vanilla oak flavours together with ashy, dark chocolate balanced by a lingering mix of black malts and citrus peels to the ending. Full bodied, still dangerously easy to drink. Enjoying sipper on a Saturday afternoon (Tromsø 02.01.2016).

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Verksgata, hjemme etter orkesterøvelse i Haugesund: brunsvart med fint, cappuccinofarget skum. Røstet malt, mørkbrent kaffe, kvae og et hint av premium soya saus i aromaen. Kraftig, fyldig og passe tørr smak med disse elementene, og avslutningen har en fint avrundet bitterhet. Ren glede over drøvelen, og glasset ble fort tomt. Må kjøpe en til.

Bottle. Close to black in the glass, with a small, dense beige head. There’s quite a lot of soy and roasted malts in the aroma, with resins and pine cones. Almost bonfire-ish. It’s full-bodied and smooth on the palate, rather bitter, with chocolate notes, Bitter, resiny and citrus peel-ish. Coffee, dark chocolate and resiny hops in the finish. Well, not the most complex imp stout I’ve had, but it’s tasteful and nice anyway. Wouldn’t mind drinking more of it actually. 151114
