30.05.2015, 0,5l bottle sampled @ HaandFestival:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish roasted, wet grain, dark berries, sour coffee, dark malts, salty licorice, ashtray, weeds. Taste is slightly dry, roasted grain, burnt caramel, salt water, paper, weeds, hay, shed, ashtray, grass, sour coffee. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle 500ml @ Haand Ølfestival 2015, Drammen
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and salt licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty, caramel, chocolate and salt licorice finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Taps Trondheim, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out notes of oats, dry cocoa, and light roast. Flavour follows through, with earthy notes, cocoa, light roast and oats. Robust and well-balanced, with a slight oddity in there. Very good.

500ml bottle, brygg #200, from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Espresso head reduced to a remaining layer. Fair lacing. Jet black body. Aroma of grainy malts joined by liquorice and a brief touch of smoke. Black chocolate flavours together with salty liquorice and bread. A nice finish of roasted bitterness. Fine bodied. Vivid stout, well-made celebration brew (Tromsø 18.04.2015).

Temporary rating: Shared 500 ml bottle, "Cardinal Edition", at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of sea water and seaweed, on a roasty background. Smooth roasty flavour. Will rerate when I have a full bottle shortly.
