Bottle at Monks Cafe, Stockholm. Looks like a lager. And tastes like some kind of german style lager but with a bit bigger body. Why name a mediocre blond ale like one of the brewerys best beers?

Very nice pale yellow pour with a sediment tempest and a bubbling head. Very light aroma of clean hops. Pour and smell are no indication of the bitter sharp acrid hops in this brew. Palate is focused into a piercing very rude sharp pilsner style bite. Some carbonation keeps this lively. Lingering biting finish. Lightest of their brews? Probably why I find it accepatable.

Bottled. Hazy golden color, short head. Aroma of grassy hops, bit citrus. Decent bitter taste, bit grassy and citrus again. Very easy to drink and nice thirst-quencher.

Had this on tap at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo. Pretty good beer. Yellow, hazy beer with crisp aroma and nice, strong-hopped flavor. Nothing spectacular but not a bad beer, all in all.

Bottle. Apperance; Light golden, hazy with a big rocky head. Aroma; Fruity and some malt. Flavor; Malt, a bit sour, light bitter at the end.

Sample at AleFest Columbus (06/27/09): The beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that dissipates to nothing quickly. Short strings of lacing. Herbal hops and malt aroma. Light body with flavors of floral hops and malt, plus a touch of weak fruit. The finish is astringent hops with a lingering bitterness. Average overall, and a rare miss by Bell’s.

Tap @ Eccentric Cafe. Pale yellow colour, white head. Aroma of caramel malts and floral hops. Flavour is slightly malty. Bitter finish. Drinkable.

Perfect hazy golden coloured body with strong orange highlights and a nice dense white head. Aroma of nice pale malt, fresh english hops, citrus fruit, a bit of toffee and some light caster sugar. Medium-bodied; Sharp taste of the pale malt and bitterness of the hops straight up. Aftertaste mellows out the bitter hops and leaves some of the citrus tastes along with sugar in the palate. Overall, a decent beer - a bit too sharp up front, but with some age or a bit of work from the brewers, could be a more ’rounded’ beer with better flavours throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 07-April-2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese Place in (near) St. Louis, MO. Darker gold color with a frothy and persisting white head. Aromas of citrus, pale fruit and light malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is pale stone fruit, citrus and somewhat roasted pale malt. Finish seems slightly yeasty, with floral hop. Very pleasant, though somewhat lightweight, drink.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours bright hazy gold with thin bright white head. The aroma is kind of wheaty, kind of sweet, sort of lemony tart and has vague hop flavors. The taste is mildly refreshing with pale to wheated malts mixed with a mild lemon and hop tartness. An un-non-noticeable level of tartness in fact.
