Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08. Hazy pale gold with lasting white head. Lemon hop. Some odd cereal. Oddly cereal/wheat, bit syrupy too. Like creamy wheat and has oddly disjointed hop.

Bottle. For a regular old ale it’s not bad, but I expected a bit more from a Bells beer. Very light, a little watery and thats about it. I’d much prefer something a bit more bold than what I got.

Bottle. Lemon grass malt aroma. Light yellow color with small head. Light lemon malt flavor with mild hops finish. Nice APA with less pronounce hops.

Bottle. Nice pour, pure gold with a nice white head. Tiny bit of lacing. Aroma is faint, though you can get a bit of malt and hop. Taste is nice, starts with hop bitterness at the start, with good hop profile coming through. Surprised to see this as an APA, thought it might be a Pilsener. Since we’re at the beginning of summer, this may be a favorite this summer.

Bottle; Nose of sweet, slightly flowery hops, hazy urine yellow with a small off white head, flavor of hop bitterness with a sweet caramel balance, but the hops win out lasting to the finish! Does the urine color put people off? Seems underrated to me!

Yellow gold, hazy, minimal head. Mild citric and grassy hops, a touch of butter. Rounded buttery caramel sweetness and just a tingle of citric hops. Medium bitter finish. Seems like an ESB to me, and pretty boring.

Golden beer with orange shine, end of bottle fully murky; huge, lightly yellowish head, leaving lace. Vanilla-scented grapes, and a dry, somehow bar-of-soap-y aroma as well. Then a lot of hops - appearing UK in character. Very nice light-bitter hoppiness, rounding off on some soft sweet taste and just a pinch of citrus. Again, rather British in character. Light, but nowhere empty MF, a bit spritzy, with near mineral water quality. Yeast makes it more creamy, of course. Refreshing and quaffable. Very good light ale. Sometimes one tends to forget that at least some USA brewers still know how to brew a more than decent basic beer - this is one. Thank you, DavidA!

Poures a hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma is citrus and hops along with some evergreen and floral notes. Mouth is nice for a pale ale. Flavor is of hops and citrus. Finishes with a nice bitterness. Pretty decent pale ale.

bottle - Pours yellowish and a little cloudy with a thin head. There’s a light aroma with a touch of citrus. The flavor has a good, moderate hops presence and the body is bubbly and a little too thin. It’s not too bad, but a pale ale? There are far better pale ales available.

Batch 7396 5/06 This starts with a slightly hazy deep yellow body and a quickly disappating white head. Fruity malt aroma, light grassy hops. Somewhat astringent, bitterness throughout. Dry finish. The malt never surfaces in the flavor here. Drinkable beer but it didin’t meet expectations.
