Cask at the Alexandra Arms, Rugby, 16/12/13. Light black with a moderate light tan head that retains well. Nose is light roast, brown sugars, dark toffee fudge, dark berry fruit tang. Taste comprises earthy cocoa, jammy berry fruit, toffee fudge, light roastings, dark fruit tones. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light mineral bite lending towards a dry closure. Ok stout.

Good looking appearance with a deep, dark brown body to a shiny black surface. Smell of dark chocolate malts, slightly roasted. Rounded taste character of choco-caramel malts. Bittersweet tail. Well made and easy to drink. Cask, half at Fat Cat, Sheffield 1 Oct 10.
