Draft at Oslo Mikrobryggeri. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt as well as notes of caramel, bread, and minerals, leading to a dry and bitter finish, where the notes of straw and bread lingers.

On tap at OMB, as Amber X. It was served copper-colored, filtered, quite fizzy, and with a nice beige head, that later on would leave lacings. It has the typical OMB house character, from the hops I think, with some metallic notes, malt and beefstock. Malty flavor, with some roastiness, metallic notes, hops and beefstock. Full body, quite bitter in both start and finish. Yet another decent, but not excactly challenging beer from OMB. Rating: 6-4-6-3-12-3.1 070301

On tap at Oslo Mikrobryggeri, as Amber X. Served a clear, amber body with a minimal beige head. Roasted, chocolate nose with caramel and fruity hops. Roasted, caramel and chocolate flavor with a nice fruityness and pleasant bitterness. Medium body with a nice level of carbonation. Cute finish with roasted flavors and bitterness. Fruity and malty too. It has the ususal OMB house character, but it wasn’t as annoying in this one as it sometimes is. Quaffable, almost sessionable. Rating: 7-3-7-3-15-3.5. 080410

On tap at the brewpub. A creamy finger thick beige head sits patiently on top of an unclear amber colored body. The aroma has caramel, a generic fruityness and some orange and pine cones. It’s quite effervescent, medium to full bodied and rather dry. Caramel, some dried apricot and orange zest and some grassy notes in the flavor. Nice bitterness. Fruity finish with some caramel maltyness. Too gentle, and too carbonated, else quite nice. 140621

Two pints on draught at the brewpub early on a Friday afternoon in friedly company with Ross. Clear brown coloured body under a filmy layer that left some lacing on the glass. Appealing hoppy aroma to the fore backed by a spicy touch. Amber brew full of hops supported by a chocolate brush. Rank, but short bitter finish. Active natural carbonation. Well bodied (16.03.2007).

Draught @ OMB, as Amber X, in company with Ole_R and Yngwie. Clear golden read/brown body with a nice white head (a bit quick disappearing). Fruity hoppy aroma with malt. Flavor is caramel malt and a very well balanced gentle bitterness. Medium finish. A nice and easy drinkable beer with an attitude.
