This was the last British ale I had during two happy days at London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival 08, and definitely one of the best. My half pint was handpulled from cask and enjoyed in good company with chris_o, Stonch and other enthusiastic beer drinkers. The Millennium Gold offers an inviting fresh flowery aroma and has got a quite nice appearance with its clear golden body over a fragile white head. Hops up front in taste with citrus fruity sharpness. Well rounded bitter aftertones (evening session, 13.03.2008).

Cask at The Hop Pole pubs Easter Beer Festival, Aylesbury in the company of Loz, Chris O, Ruth, Barry, Lynn 21-03-08 Gold in colour some haze, bubbly white head. Nice aroma with gentle wafts of citrus. Quite chewy and malty with hoppy flavours circling around, good fruity bite but overall I was surprised in that for once I had found a Crouch Vale beer to be just a little underwhelming, 3.4 is still a good score but it’s at least 3-4 notches lower than most other Crouch Vale beers I’ve had.

Cask handpull at London Drinker BF 08. Gold, bubbly white head. Lovely hoppy beer. So drinkable. Yes, it’s probably the best beer of the day so far. A bit like Brewer’s Gold, but more so. Flowery grassy hop. Gorgeous.
