330ml bottle served chilled at Henrik Øl & Vinstove in Bergen. Clear, amber body with thin patches on the surface. Middling aromatic level of toffee malts. Lager taste profile with hints of caramel malts and a rounded bitter touch to the ending. Soft carbonated. A bit above most of the Norwegian lager beers, but still no brainer (18.06.2009).

Medium offwhite creamy head. Bronze body. Faint sweet caramel aroma with buttery notes. Sweetish malt taste with notes of apple. Aftertaste is delicately roasty almonds, and a little grain. Some grassy hops towards the end. Quite well made, but boring. (0.33l bottle.)

An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, but in the flavor there’s also notes of straw.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear amber with a small, creamy head. Vague, malty nose. Rather dry and hoppy with some notes of caramel. Quite light-bodied. 271105

Notting wrong with this beer, but very neutral and typical to 99% of all Norwegian Pils. A hint of some malt character but quite disappointing.

Bottle. Golden beer with white head. Unfortunatelt the beer has nothing special to it, but it’s not bad. The aftertaste is hoppy, and it is the most interesting part of the beer. It has a hint of toffee and bitterness in the flavour, but very little aroma. (050915)

330 ml bottle. Deep golden colour, moderate head. Moderate aroma of hops and caramel. Flavour has some toffee and and a hoppy bitter finish, drinkable but not that interesting. Hope they brew something better for their next "jubilee"! (Berentsens are new as a brewery, they have produced industrial "ciders" and alcopops for 10 years or so, and soft drinks for 110 years.)
