Cask @ Wellington Arms. Dark gold with a smallish white head. Muted aroma of English hop, rapeseed and slight lemonade. Commendably robust taste: bittersweet with a caramel-citrus finish and a surprising sulphurous aftertaste. Decent body, well-carbonated for a cask ale.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 23 July 2011) Golden/bronze colour with creamy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of peaches, biscuits and a touch of citrus. Malty, fruity taste with peaches, biscuity malt and a slightly grassy, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Refreshing and quite nice.

Half pint, cask ale at The Wheatsheaf, Southwark. Tiny, film-like layer. Amber-gold in body colour. Malt-fruity nose. Sweet, ripe fruits in flavour along with mid-sweet malts. Rounded bitter ending. Nice (London, 30.07.2011).
