On tap at Caf Sara, Oslo. Has a black colour with a red shine, and a light brown, medium, creamy head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, cinnamon and leather. The flavour has even more roasted malt with ash, hazel nuts and very dark chocolate. Has an incredibly smooth and silky mooth feel, and a medium to heavy bitterness. A well-roasted and tasteful porter, but a little light aroma compared to the flavour.

On tap @ the brewpub. Practically black body with a nice, dense beige head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and fruit. Flavor is good roasted malt, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, dry fruit and pleasant bitterness. Full body and nice, long lasting aftertaste. A very smooth, tasty no-nonsense porter.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a reddish dark brown body, pretty clear, and with a small, beige head. The aroma has lots of roasted malts and coffee, a little touch of dark chocolate and a faint whiff of bonfire. There’s also a really pleasant piney hoppyness and some citrus peel. Roasted, coffee-ish flavor with both hoppy and malty bitterness. Citrus peel at an un-typical level for a porter, but it’s really nice this way. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Semi-dry and with some warmth. Lasting bitter and roasted finish. Overall, sure a nice one, will definitely have more of this. 140123

400ml, from tap at Café Sara. Patchy tan-coloured head blanketing the glassware. Dark ruby coloured body. Smell of roasted dark malts, mid-sweet and mid-dry. Roasted flavours with hints of coffee and chocolate. Prolonged malt-bitter ending, warming down the swallow. Fine bodied. Very nice porter with an excellent ending (Oslo 25.11.2013).
