Taste is slightly dry foresty, heather, minerals, bark, berry skin, shed, paper, light malts, dry berries, dried grain. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, kind of interesting.

On tap at What’s Brewing. A lightly unclear brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is lightly spiced, with lots of forest, some juniper and berries. Hints of cardamom and cinnamon. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, with a distinct spiced flavor. Sort of like walking in the forest with your spice shelf on your shoulders. Lasting finish. Rather unusual this one, more interesting than really good, but certainly not bad. 141101

Fra fat på Grünerløkka Brygghus, nov-14: mørk amber med kort filmskum. Krydder og malt dominerer aromaen. en snill og varmende juleøl (fint karbonert med myk munnfølelse) hvor litt krydder skaper stemning sammen med fiken og en fornemmelse av overmodne jordbær. Behaglig bitter, halvtørr.

Sample, on tap at Grünerløkka Brygghus. Opaque dark red-brown coloured body. Filmy layer, spotty lacing. Mid-sweet aroma of berries and herbal hops. Red and dark berries to the taste buds alongside almond, leaves and caramel sweetness. Malt-fruity ending. Medium to full bodied. Nice autumn feel to it (Oslo 08.12.2014).

On tap @ What’s Brewing, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber, with a small rocky head. Aroma is roasted malts, grain, sorrel and spices. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart Norwegian forest, with notes of yeast, wood, camphor and spruce cones.
