Bottle shared at Kermis’ last THT. Almost black with dark beige head. Ginger, soapy, cinnamon, spicy notes, light coffee, caramel, soft herbs, mint, caramel. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Over medium bodied with slight dry and watery feel. A bit too much soapy ginger maybe.

Keg at Ghost Whale, 20/04/18. Light black with a handsome tan covering. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, winter cheer, cinnamon infused coffee. Taste comprises rich coffee beans, cocoa nibs, toffee melt, chocolate cake, mixed spice, light cinnamon streak, molasses. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost. Solid well balanced impy stout.

Dregs bottle thanks to Stuu666 (and possibly cgarvieuk). Appearance - opaque brown to black. Got this after carbonation had subsided, so benefit of doubt on the head. Nose - coffee beans predominant. A touch of caramel/molasses. Taste - much more chocolate on the nose. Coffee, of course. Caramel and chocolate again. Palate - full bodied and creamy. It has a boozy edge, but well hidden. Overall - after the nose seemed to be declaring a big coffee beast, I was delighted that the chocolate malt toook over on the taste. Good gear.
