Backlog July 2015. Almost clear golden body under a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is mostly malt and that’s about that. Taste is sweet and slightly harsh, medium malty with a faint hint of fruit. Not very interesting.

Bottle. A lightly hazy, dark golden beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Some lacings. The aroma is rather weak, with some caramel maltyness in the back. Grassy, piney and fruity hops too. The flavor is much the same, a tad too weak I think. Especially that the hops are so subdued makes it boring. Medium to full body and a soft carbonation. Lasting finish. Overall, rather boring, but sure drinkable. 150411

Bottle 500ml @ yngwie
Pours hazy orange with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, biscuit, grass and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long biscuit, caramel and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

500ml bottle, brygg 222, picked up at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Bright golden-brown body. Large off-white head slowly reduced to a patchy surface. Spotty lacing. Modest brown malty nose, toffee and biscuit. Subdued blended taste of smoked brown malts, caramel, bread, and figs. Sweet finish offset by bittering endnotes. Fine bodied and smooth in the mouth. Likable, however, somewhat restrained flavour character (Tromsø 04.04.2015).

Bottle at home. Is clear with a golden and dark bronze color. Foam is high with light beige color and is soap-like. The aroma is not unexpected malty with dried fruit, fudge, leather and biscuits, and in addition something strange reminiscent rotten vegetables and cigarette ash. The taste is a better experience with caramel, leather, wood, hay and some vegetables. The ending is a bit dry. Soft and smooth mouth feel and has a balanced and nice bitterness. This was a somewhat mixed experience where the aroma seems unbalanced, with some off-flavors. In return, the taste is much more balanced with fine malt sweetness and bitterness. A decent English ale.
