330 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.6%. Beautiful and clear deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and almonds, hints of cinnamon and earthy hops. The flavour is not too sweet, malty with hints of burnt caramel, hints of almonds and cinnamon again, also hints of prunes, decent earthy hops.

26.11.2018, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet mineraly, dried dark fruits, hay, grass, lactose, caramel malts, dusty grain, nuts, minerals, bark, chocolate, hints of dusty cellar. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, minerals, sour grass, bark, paper, metal tank, fruit stones, dusty cellar, caramel malts, soil, berry skin, medicine, toast. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Meh!

Gylden brun klar med lavt beige skum. Lukter nøtter, pepperkaker og kakedeig. Middels fylde. Smaken er også, pepperkaker, krydder og lett bitter brent karamell. Middels lang, noe oljete.

330ml bottle, #063, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Hazy brown coloured body. Patchy beige head, crocheted lacing on the glass. Modest smell of spiced malts. Spiced taste profile with cinnamon up front, almond and grain beneath, porridge impression. Mid-sweet spiced end. Satisfying. (Tromsø 30.12.2017).

Bottle, at Håndverkeren. A lightly hazy chestnut colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head. Malt driven aroma with toast, prunes and raisins, bread crust and some nuts. A good dash of cinnamon too, but it's note running the show. It's medium bodied and smooth, a bit low on carbonation, and with a low but fitting bitterness level. Roasted malts, cinnamon, toast and some dried fruits in the flavor. Long bready, roasted finish with cinnamon. A fine brew indeed, sort of gives me a Christmas-ish feeling. Nice cinnamon addition. Would like some more carbonation though. 171111

330 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a nice off-white head. Aroma has malt, bread and some Christmas spices, but the ginger dominates totally. Flavor is light and smooth, dark, low roasted malt. A hint of Christmas spices and lots of ginger. Low bitterness. Medium to light bodied and nice ginger aftertaste. This is definitively no Old Ale, the only thing to match the definition is the color. It’s neither a complex beer, quite straight forward ale with spices. Disregard this it’s a well-balanced spiced ginger beer, not too much or too little. As I love ginger it’s a rather pleasant, easy and quite refreshing beer. Mild malt, not very sweet, low and bitterness and not too boring either even if it lacks some depth.
