A nice 330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Creamy, pocket off-white neck leaving spotty lacing down the glass. Dark brown body with a deep ruby shade. Moderate smell of earth and brown malts. Brown malty flavours, hints of nuts, caramel and bread. Smooth roasted bitter finish. Rather foamy in the mouth. Pretty alright. (Tromsø 15.10.2017).

Bottle. A faintly hazy chestnut colored beer topped by a dense, finger-thick and stable beige head leaving lacing. Roasted malts, toast, a spiced, almost rye-like touch, some dried fruit and pine cones in the aroma. It’s too heavy on the carbonation for my liking, still it’s not really bothering me, it’s semi-sweet and medium to full bodied, with a decent bitterness in the back. Roasted malts, toast, licorice, roasted black pepper, pine cones, some citrus notes and a little malty sweetness in the flavor. Quite lasting, with a rye-ish touch towards the very end. Sure pleasant this one, and considering the ABV it’s close to spot on. Pity about the carbonation level. 170715

Bottle. Slightly unclear orange/brown body with a medium sized tan head. Quite decent aroma, toast, caramel and toffee. Flavor is smooth caramel/toffee with toast, some dry fruit and light but balanced bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. Surprisingly balanced and well-made brown ale at the grocery shop ABV. Of course nothing spectacular, but easy to drink, pleasant and a good burger companion.
