Near black with a frothy tan head and a milky coffee and slightly fruity aroma. It’s semi-creamy, nice roasted malt backbone with chocolate, dark fruit and coffee notes coming through and a dry, slightly bitter finish

Half-pint, cask ale at the Leeds University Old Bar. Spotty lacing from a low beige head. Plain black body. Moderate smell of oatmeal, coffee and earth. Coffee flavours added by hints of creamy chocolate. Slightly roasted dark malty finish. Medium bodied. Satisfying. (Leeds 30.06.2019).
