Black colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of heavily roasted malts. Thick, rich, oily texture. Lasting bitter finish.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20170512) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had caramel, sweetness and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, berries, sweetness, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had tart berries and bitterness. A rather unpleasant heavy brew.

Dark pour with rich foamy brown head. I understand already from the nose why it is saying "American Imperial Stout" on the label, it is loaded with hops. If you wait a bit and you can discover also a soft roasty malt base. Tastes robust, like a double or triple robust stout would taste, some sweetness that is balanced with hops and roast character, a bit of alcohol warmth. Decent and definitely enjoyable stout.

Big hoppy nose with tons of citrus notes with lots of roasted malts. Full on hoppy mouth, on the verge of a black IPA but def more of a hoppy impy. Low carbonation smooth palate. Good stuff

Bottle at home. Black with small light brown head that leaves a long lasting film. Dark chocolate, blueberries, lime, licorice, sweet tamarind, dried plums, blackberries, nuts. It’s quite fruity with some chocolate but not much of the typical roast flavors you’d expect. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and a tart touch. Over medium bodied with slick, slightly dry feel. Very hoppy and fruity, quite like this!

33cl Bottle from Burg Bieren. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of soy sauce, molasses, roasted malts, sweet malts, bread, dark fruits. Flavour is sweet, malty, soy sauce, molasses, brown sugar, roast, liquorice, nuts, alcohol and light hoppy but firm bitter finish. Full bodied, soft carbonation. Nice.

33cl bottle. Dark brown pour (quite light-coloured during the pour) with a tall, faine-grained tan head. Definitely hoppy aroma, with notes of citrus and pine resin, alongside chocolate and roasted malts. The taste follows the same notes, heavy on the milk chocolate, molasses and coffee, resinous hops and sugar. A bit too sweet, light bodied and hoppy for an imperial stout, but otherwise a very nice beer.
