Det klassiske norske juleølet er gjerne basert på et mørkt bokkøl. Den skal ha en behagelig sødme fra malten, lav bitterhet og være lettdrikkelig nok til å komplimentere julematen så vel som juleakevitten. En bokkøl skal dog helst være på 7%. Derfor har vi kalt denne for en Tullebock; en får som prøver å skryte på seg å være en ulv.

Drikk gjerne Tullebock til julematen, nesten uansett hva den måtte være, men ta den ut av kjøleskapet i litt god tid før du skal nyte den. Den smaker best når den er rundt 10°C, og tar seg godt ut i et tulipanglass.

Amber with off white head - Malt and caramel aroma - Malt body with a caramel flavour - The caramel flavour goes into the finish with hints of hop bitterness - This was nice

GYK 240820. Amber color with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, malt, yeast. Flavor is caramel, malt, yeast, cocoa, spices, roasted malt, coffee, bread. Nice beer.

Bottle. A clear dark amber to brown beer with a nice finger-thick beige head. Toffee, cocoa, a light roasted touch, a hint of cinnamon and a light fruity hint in the aroma. It's medium to full-bodied, nicely carbonated and quite dry on the palate. The flavor has roasted malts, coffee hints, cocoa, cinnamon and a good dash of toffee and bread crust. Length finish. A nice quite low alcohol strength Christmas beer. 200824

330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsdalen. Next-to-clear orange-rustic body, dissipating beige head, spotty lacing. Quite promising cocoa nose with Yuletide spices. Blended taste of dried fruits, cinnamon, and cocoa notes. Mid-dry ending with a little roasted bitterness to it. Satisfying. (Tromsø 16.12.2019).

6-3-6-3-12 Bottle, three months after bottling, shared with Inbreak and friends. Pours hazy light brown, with a small creamy head. Aroma is roasted malts with bread, caramel and cocoa, as well as some leather and minerals. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is roasted malts with bread, cocoa powder and minerals, as well as caramel and minerals. Dry finish.
