Bottle. A crystal clear reddish brown beer with a small beige head. The aroma has a very pleasant perfumed, forest-ish twist, lightly spiced from the juniper berries and toffee-ish, bready malts in the back. It's rather thin on the palate, certainly this should have been a full-bodied and lightly stronger beer, and the carbonation level is rather low. Semi-dry. Caramel malts, bread, a faint roasted touch and a herbal bitterness in the flavor. The lavender and juniper are subdued in the flavor, but still sure present. Quite short finish. Love the aroma of this one, where they in my opinion have found a nice balance, but the rest of the drinking experience is a bit disappointing, at least considering the good start. 200503

330 ml bottle, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.7%. Reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of lavender (which IMO belongs in soap and perfume, and not in beer), hints of juniper berries. Flavour of malts, caramel (but not too sweet), lavender, juniper berries and moderate earthy hops. Nice enough to drink.

330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsdalen. Bubbles on the surface of a misty brown-reddish body, spotty lacing. Spiced smell of slightly perfumed ginger and caramel. Lavender spices to the taste buds mixed with caramel and dried fruity notes. Ends with juniper and spiced malts. Accepted.
