Ryolitt 2022 (BA Rhum). 330ml. Dark ruby and tiny dark head. Alcoholic rhum aroma. Light-bodied. Raisins, lots of rhum flavours, alcohol. Warming, could be maltier, now all rhum.

2022 Vintage. Deep copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty tones, some alcohol, mild spiciness as well as dried fruity tones. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, alcohol, spiciness and some rum tones to it. The rum gives it a nice kick.

Dark brown, with a small off white/light brown head. A sweet malt, wooden barrels aroma with some dried fruit sense. Sweet, some bitterness with a heavy wooden barrels, spices and licorice end.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival. An unclear brown beer topped by a small beige head. The aroma has loads of sugary dark rum, along with caramel, some heavy toffee and dark dried fruits. A touch of alcohol too, but not pushing in any way. It's full-bodied, sweet and softly carbonated, with a light boozy warmth, and flavors of brown sugar, dark dried fruit notes, some toffee and a good dash of caramel. And loads of rum. A hint of Belgian style yeastyness in the back. Medium length finish with lots of rum, but not too much alcohol warmth. A bit plain this one, except for the extreme amounts of rum, but not foul in any way, and it hides the alcohol quite well. Can't really imagine this is at the same strengt as the non barreled edition, with these amounts of rum aromas and flavors. 191005

330ml bottle, batch 19, bought at Vinmonopolet Trondheim Bankkvartalet. A beige, bubbly head tp a deep dark brown body, spotty lacing. Smell of liquorice rum and syrup, lightly roasted. Mixed taste of anise and prunes joined by slightly spiced dark fruits. Vanilla rum to a malt-driven sweet ending. Well bodied with fine sipper qualities. (Hotel room, Trondheim 15.09.2019).
