Can from Gulating. Hazy yellow body under a fast disappearing white head. Aroma feels fresh, fruity and spicy with minerals. Difficult to recognize exactly the kind of spices as they are rather subdued but nice. Taste is refreshing as well with the same fruitiness, mild acidity and the same spices, perhaps some cinnamon, cloves, anise and some ginger. Medium body and same aftertaste. It’s a fine balance for a spiced beer this, quite enjoyable.

330ml can from Gulating Advent Calendar #23. Scattered lacing from a declining white head. A wheat haze to an orange-gold body. Moderate smell of mid-sweet fruity wheat, hints of spices. The taste character has got moments of banana, a citric touch and clove spices on a backbone of wheat. Hints of citrus towards the ending. Easy to drink. Fair enough with our pickled herring. Can. An unclear orange colored beer with a small white head. The aroma is sure spiced, with a touch of pale malts and citrus. Bread and some caramel notes. It's medium bodied and a bit low on carbonation, quite dry. Lemon, orange, bread, fruit caramel and a hint of banana in the flavor, with the spices more gentle than in the aroma. Long spiced, orangey and generic fruity finish. A decent weissbier with a pleasant spice addition. Guess it would be a rather dull one without the spices. 201122
