6-4-6-3-12 Can, #21, five months before bbd. Pours pale yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is floral hops with grassy herbal notes, as well as pale malts with white bread, sugar and hay. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is sweet pale malts with cereals, hay and honey, as well as floral hops with grassy herbs. Fairly short finish. Pretty balanced, quaffable Nordic pilsner with a nice nod to the Germans.

440 ml can, as Slakteren Tangen Tysk Pils, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Very pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma is more malty and grainy than hoppy. Fizzy mouthfeel. Malty / bready flavour with a little citrus, too little hops, low bitterness. Boring. What is the point for a microbrewery to brew a pedestrian but overpriced pilsener, which is not even as good as the best Norwegian industrial pilseners? Won't buy again.

440ml can, #21, bought at Gualting Ølutsalg, Oslo Sentrum. Shared with Cunningham. Clingy lacing from a steady white head. Golden body, next to clear. Moderate smell of grassy hops and grain. Similar taste profile of bread-like malts and grassy hops. Okay bittersweet end. Fair enough. (Oslo 02.09.2020)
