Handpull cask at the brewery. Listed as 4.0%. Dark brown, a bit thin looking, with a large beige head. Roast malt and coffee grounds mingle with hoppy notes of lime leaves, pine needles and a touch of mint. Sweet taste with a gentle piney hoppiness ushering in notes of bitter chcolate and espresso. Too bitter in the finish for my liking, and the body is pretty watery, but all in all this is a cracking hoppy porter.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Almost clear amber - brown beer, bubbly tan head. Palate is light and dry, modest carbonation. Tangy dark chocolate. A little roast bitterness. Tangy dark fruits. Light dry finish. A bit thin and no obvious Columbus.
