Bottle. Black body with a big, creamy, dense beige head. Quite mild malty aroma with chocolate and some kind of spices, but not able to recognize the vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet dark malt, cocoa powder, chocolate and Christmas spices. Medium body and average aftertaste. Not bad, but a bit weak with the spices, feels a bit like a weaker version of Underlig Jul.

Opaque black color, good beige head, lace. Toasted aroma has cocoa, spices, vanilla. Medium-bodied. Toasted vanilla flavor, hops, veggies orange in the flavor. Sweetish too, maybe lactose? Ok.

500ml bottle, #014, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Shared with Vegard and Pål. Pours a creamy, tan-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass as it goes down. Near coal black body. Grainy dark chocolate aromas, hints of dried fruits as well. Fine blending taste profile of chocolate, anise and coffee grounds. Dried fruity notes beneath. Prolonged and lingering aftertaste. Mostly hidden alcohol. Tasty stout and the right choice to finish our lunchtime food (Romjulslunsj 27.12.2016).
