Poured from the tap. Dark brown with small beige head. Roast malt and mild oats. Nothing special.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour. Smooth and creamy, with low roasted malt character, light fruity touch, quite balanced, but no highlights.

Murky watery brown body and no foam, as Geralt would say, Damn. You're ugly. Mellow sweet molasses on the nose, vague hints of coffee. Flavour is nice smooth dark biscuit, soft caramel. Carbonated well but very watery. This feels like amateur hour in the stout department.

Can from Cask & Barrel. Dark brown. Not much head. Fudgey, chocolatey aroma. On the palate, similar. Full body for style. Touch of molasses character. Just enough bitterness and residual sugar to be balanced. It's not bad, good enough I guess is what I'd say, but otherwise nothing standout about it.

473mL can, pours a dirty dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma is muddy and earthy, with toasted malt, burnt notes, and some oats. Flavour is bitter, with earthy notes, oats, and bitter cocoa. A little harsh, lacking integration and depth. Weak.
