Pour is a dark black with a large tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted malt and bakers chocolate combo. Flavor is pretty much the same. A roasted almost char malt with some bitter bakers chocolate. Finish leaves a little ashyness on the tongue. Pretty good stout.

Hmm. So this is a very hoppy stout, in the black IPA vein, dark chocolate and roasted malts combined with a hop forward nose. But of course instead of the big cascadian citrus you'll get in most of those, this one is all cannabis. It's kinda weird. I like the G13 IPA, even the mango kush is OK, but I'm not sure it works as well here, but maybe its because I'm not even a huge fan of the black IPA aka over-hopped stouts anyway. Very good malt bill construction here though, and good body. Nice appearance too, with a full khaki foaming head.

Pours a dark black color with dark ruby highlights and a tall beige head and great retention. Good lacing. Strange, undesirable marijuana aroma. Mostly chocolate flavor with a slight reefer finish. A little dry. Not really sweet or bitter. Thick, creamy mouthfeel. Medium plus body. Good stout except for the 420 strain addition.

3 week old bottle A: Poured a huge khaki colored head of thick meringue atop a black body. Very good retention and sheet lacing. S: Loud aroma of dank herb, citrus and bittersweet chocolate. Like a gourmet chocolate bar. T: Bitter chocolate and orange citrus notes dominate and mingle nicely. Pumpernickel and pine to finish. Almost no roast. M: Smooth powdery texture, low soft carbonation and slightly sticky finish. O: Hoppy and I like it. Otherwise easy drinking and tasty if unusual.

A good chocolate stout lessened by Sweetwater's insistence to force this 420 Strain bullshit upon their customers. The deep, rich chocolate notes are lovely, modestly sweet and backed by dark fruit and roast. Problems arise in the weedy finish, which gives a skunky note to the back end, like drinking a black and tan made with an imperial stout and a Heineken. Close to being good, but I'm so tired of these ganja brews.
