This can is filled to the brim with whole pit-in local plums full of potential that were grown just a stone’s throw north of the brewery. These were painstakingly cut up by hand and fermented in our mixed-fermentation sour beer for several weeks before packaging. Brewed, canned, and naturally conditioned at our brewery in Kelowna, BC.

473mL can, pours a murky dark orange with a rapidly dissipating head. Nose brings out tart jammy plums upfront, with a nice wild bacteria character in back. Flavour is very fruity and jammy, with loads of tart jammy plums, moderate wild yeast character. Nice interplay of fruit and wild yeast. Not super complex, but it's very well-made.

Clearish gold with a decent white head. Soured vegative and plum notes. Really sour and earthy. Not my thing.

Pale pinkish-purple colour with a slight haze and just a thin head. The aroma is lots of juicy plums. On the palate, it's very tart, bracing. The plum is mellower than it was on the aroma, still bright and juicy, but clearly subordinate to the acidity. Not much malt character here - it's a bit two-dimensional. Good beer, but I like the Ulpia Severina better.
