Panda at home from Grumbo, thanks Graham, 08/01/23. Light black with a beige covering that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is light roast, cocoa powder, brown bread, dried fruit rinds, raisins. Taste comprises powdered chocolate, light spice, mellow roast, toffee, ashen nip, cocoa powder, hint of coffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Okay stout.

27/12/2022. Bottle at the ITFC Christmas beer share. Courtesy of IOWTim, cheers. Pours very dark mahogany brown with a large frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruits, ash, coffee, touch of liquorice, light meaty smoked edge. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, average carbonation.

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head. Touch of roast malt and charcoal on the aroma. Some dark chocolate. A little thin in the mouth maybe but then again I’ve just drunk Belgian beers. A little hoppy on the finish. A roasty stout with ok chocolate flavours. But just not enough for me in the body.

Bottle shared at Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Saturday 25th February Pours black with a creamy textured light beige head, a light roasty stout but with good fruity plum skins offering up a good tanginess. Good, solid stout. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4
