16 oz. can, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out lots of deep roasted malt, black liquorice, and dark cocoa. Flavour is loaded with deep roasted malt upfront, accentuated with dark cocoa, woody hops, and more roast. Love the deep roast on this. Not actually that sweet. Wonderful deep roasty impie.

Pint can from Brewer’s Haven. Nearly black in color with a nice brown head that settles into a thin ring. Rich aroma is full of chocolate, seemingly dark chocolate, and not overly sweet. One of the deepest chocolate flavored stouts I've tried, but it’s not overly sweet. Swirling layers of cocoa and dark chocolate balance well with a nice toffee and carmelized sugar vibe. The big ABV is well hidden, but caught up with me towards the end of the glass. Great dessert beer.

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Black as night pour, wispy brown head. Rich chocolaty aroma, hint of booziness. Taste layers on the chocolate, luscious, sweet, notes of caramel and latent alcohol. Very mild bitterness.

Roast and caramel, dark chocolate. Creamy consistency. Nut and leather. Nice balance. Bittersweet finish. Black pour with good head and lacing. Tap at brewery.
