Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.
At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

Bottled, from CityMarket in Vaasa, Finland. Clear amber, rich head. Perfumy nose with elderflower and orange. Sweet with light -medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Cereals and perfumy elderflower dominates. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle from Selver, Tallinn. Design interesting, badger and ferrets, making me want to check what does "furst" mean. Pours light amber, very clear. Head disappears fast but no completely. Not much aroma, some fresh malts, faint hops, quite standard what you get from English bitters. First sip reveals some carbonation, slightly bitter but more malty character. Bitter lemonade. Some hops remain f longer for a not completely dry aftertaste - that reaches all parts of the mouth. Simple drink that could suit for a session beer - at least in England.

Clear bottle at home. Aroma is horrid stale malt, skunky hop and some veg broth. Light amber orange clear. Loose off white head. Flavour is sweet caramel malt light English fruit esters. Thin metallic palate. Dreadful.

(Bottle) Good looking beer - clear golden with decent off-white head. Reasonable aroma with grassy piney hops over some toffee hints. Light bodied and fizzy. Flavour is balanced but disappoints by being a bit thin. Peppery spicey notes overlay some lightly toffee malt. Some rather metallic bitterness in finish. Overall ok, but a bit watery.

30cl bottle. Golden colour with minimal and quickly dminishing white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy and earthy. Flavor is slightly sweet, bittery and wooden notes. Dry final. Carbonation and body are medium.

0.5 l bottle @Beertija, Zagreb. It poured clear golden body with medium sized, nicely compact head. Really nice caramel and barley aroma, somewhat toasted. Decent bitterness in the flavor, generic, rather typical, but has something instead of bland ales typical for these styles. Toast, caramel, some dust. Medium bodied, full considering the style with longer bitter finish. Better than expected, very potable, although just another English macro.
