Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.

At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

50 cl bottle from a GDO retailer for approx 2.70€. Clear bottle, tawny color, big white head, great lacing.
Hoppy nose, aroma is mildly malty, honeyish, a bit fruity, leaves, leafy hops. Taste is sweetish then delicately bitter. Lagery dry finish.
Average carbonation, light body.
Mild bitter.

Bottle from the Coop. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - butterscotch, or maybe I’m being unfair- perhaps shortbread and caramel so millionaire shortbread. Taste -caramel, actually syrup. Verging on honeycomb. Palate - medium bodied with a sweet tangy texture and a finish that isn’t as bad as you think it’s going to be. Overall - it’s a bit sweet but not I bad.

Flaske hos Steven: etter to forskjellige Fullres holder ikke denne helt mål selv om den er grei nok. Litt god og frisk appelsinsyre blandet med noe nøtte- og karamellaktig.
