Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.
At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s, drunk at home. Tawny golden brown; the massive carbonation settles fairly quickly leaving the tiniest ring of white head. Enjoyable aroma with some biscuit and citrus feel. Really unbalanced taste unfortunately. Sweet stale malt sits on top of acrid bittering hop. Stale bready aftertaste. I’ve had worse.

Appearance is clear and golden, a small off-white fizzy head. Aroma- honey, sweet malts, toffee. Taste- honey, sweet malts, some carbonation, raisin, very malty. Tasty and sweet.

Bottle @ Home. Pours golden with a dense offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, grass. Flavor is light sweet, malt, little caramel, wood, little bread, grass. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. 020116

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a nice big frothy white head, quite long lasting, some lacing. Aroma is malty with a slight sweetness to it, but also a subtle hint of roast malt. Flavour is mostly malts and some citrus hops and a little sweetness. A nice beer but nothing really stands out as special.

Bottle. Amber colour, nice thick head, decent lacing. Malty, a bit of toffee - but generally feels a bit empty. Light bitterness. Medium body. Not bad, but not interesting as well.

Ambar castaña. Un dedo de espuma. Aroma fuertemente malteado. Cuerpo escaso y carbonatación media. Sabor igualmente malteado, bastante aromatico. Amargor final. Bebible.
