Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.
At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

500ml bottle from Waitrose, in Bath, England. Pours a crystal clear orange-bronze color with a thick beige head and excellent retention. Great lacing too. Light hoppy aroma. Mellow caramel malt flavor with very faint hoppy notes in the finish. Sweeter and more flavorful than any bitters I had on tap in England. A nice, mellow, flavorful, easy drinking beer. Medium body. Low carbonation. Low bitterness.

Lovely clear amber with a tan head. Toasted malt, bright fruity notes, a bit of spicy cracked pepper. Well-balanced. Medium bodied. Finish has more of the same. Drinks real nicely.

Bottle 50cl. from Kelly's @home poured into pint glass. Clear deep amber colour, good creamy off-white head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, bit roasty, caramel, grain, biscuit, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and light to medium bitter, malty, caramel, nutty notes, some roast, metallic notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, dry malty sweetbitter aftertaste, nutty notes, nice.
