Named in honour of the inquisitive and extremely “fursty” ferrets of the Gribble Inn, a celebrated golden brown ale, full of character.
At the heart of many a countryside village can be found an inn. A place where locals go to relax after a long day. At one such inn, rumour has it that inquisitive ferrets would sneak to the back door to cheekily sample the local brew. A sweet nutty palate, hoppy aroma and a hint of Seville oranges, give this tawny amber ale its distinctive personality. Recommended with smooth and creamy West Country Cheddar or indulgent pork pies and mustard.

Bottle. Amber pour, white head. Citrus and caramel aroma. Fruity- spicy flavours, has a strange sweet aftertaste which I’ve found with a few other Badger beers. Light, dry bitter finish.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours bright amber with a slight creamy white head. Mild caramel aroma with floral and mild wood notes. Med body. Flavor is bitter, followed by a quick hit of diacetyl. Mildly malty, Somewhat lightly fruity. It is bitter. Then it’s diacetyl again. But the bitter tends to knock that annoyance away. Shame tho.

bottle@home from supermarket: somewhat oil-like texture & flavour, very mild toasted bread malts, some caramel & nut taste, minor bitter aftertaste that is somewhat unwanted, thin to light body, overall middling but certainly not unpleasant beer

[500ml bottle that Dad shared with me - cheers!] Amber-orange with a small off-white head. Floral hop aroma. Pasteurised metal in intitial taste quickly fades to leaves a reasonably hoppy bitterness. Not bad for a pasteurised bitter.
