Trockener, alkoholisch getreidiger Beginn. Deutliche Herbe, mild bitter, Roggen. Süffig, ansteigende Bitterkeit, der Alkohol wird angenehmer. Trocken, etwas hopfig, Kräuternoten, mittellanger Abgang. Gefällt. 9/11/10/11/10/10

Bottle. Hazy amber brown, golden lacing cream. Pumpernickel mineral, spice bread aroma. Medium full body, mellow creamy mouthfeel. Rye bread, honey, broad chewy malt notes, mineral/earthy, some fruitiness, ciitric, light herbal finish. Nice with a proper malt-forward beer again.

01-04-21 // 330ml bottle. Unique in its own way. Classic with a twist. Nose: dark fruits, berries, rumtopf, some booze. Aroma richer malts more english style BW, caramel sweetnes with dried fruits and figs. Taste medium up sweetness, minimal dry funk.

330ml bottle. Hazy to murky, amber-ish brown colour with average, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty, minimally fruity yeasty and fruity hoppy aroma, hints of dried fruit, zesty, citrusy hints of orange peel, mandarine, some brown sugar. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, caramel malty and zesty, citrusy hoppy, yeasty spicy, notes of orange peel, mandarine, hints of brown sugar, a touch of raisin, cherry, red berries, black and white pepper, candied orange peel; lingering, dry, fruity finish, well hidden alcohol. Somehow acidic thinned and dissolved sugar-enriched, watery texture, dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite extraordinary brew; good balance of sweet- and tartness, nice fruitiness, some sugary impressions - more than just interesting (with positive connotation).

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', bottled in November 2020. Hazy, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of caramel, light red fruits and hints of red wine. Fairly sweet, intensely malty, a bit fruity taste of caramel, molasses, red fruits and hints of vanilla, followed by a long, quite bitter, slightly boozy and a little resiny finish. Full body, smooth, sticky and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tastes as concentrated as an Eisbock, really heavy and viscous, very interesting, not overly refined or complex though, still good!

Bottle. Very hazy orange-amber color with super dense eggshell head. Aroma is lots of toffee, fudge, some raisins. Taste is bready-doughy from the yeast, toffee, fudge, raisins, warming finish. Oily mouthfeel, quite chewy, with soft carbonation. Very yeasty from the Kveik, but a nice one in fact!
