A most convivial brew. Traditional English ale, suggestions of spicy honey & grapefruit.

Cask pint on 23rd April 2016 at the Batemans Visitor Centre. A little disappointed with this offering to be honest, lacked depth and oomph. Light amber colour wise it looked fine with it’s creamy head and lacing that followed. Weak citrus notes in both the nose and taste with equally faint spicy traces. I suppose you could call the flavours and aroma ’subtle’, but I have gone for ’poor’.

Pint from the Three Stags, Bebington. Amber colour, with a creamy head. Aroma has subtle spicy and honey but mainly malt, the honey and citrus is more evident in the taste.
