Mocha is a coffee and chocolate stout sensation. It’s brewed with genuine Arabica coffee, fine Belgian chocolate and locally grown, roasted barley malt. Rich, enticing and well rounded, the coffee and cocoa notes are certain to give your nose and tastebuds a welcome wake-up call.

Pours very dark brown with a lasting head.Prominent chocolate syrup in the aroma, along with soft toasty and roasted malt and a little coffee.Chocolate is first up as a flavour as well, followed by plain roasted malt and hot alcohol.Nice creamy low carbonation.

Bottle at home. Subtle coco powder aroma. Some caramel in the aroma. Caramel brown colour. Thin loose light tan head that disapates very quickly. Flavour follows drink chocolate coco powder dominates. Thin palate. Faint roast malt in the finish. I was expecting more coffee.

New Beer Distributors, NY 50cl ($5): Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate and coffee. Taste is pretty much the same exact thing. It is kind of too sweet and leaves a sticky aftertaste in your mouth. Not terrible, but it ain’t great.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours medium brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of milky chocolate. Med body at least. Flavor is toffee, chocolate, coffee. Milky too. This is very smooth. Finishes nearly dry. Very nice.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee with hints of almonds/marzipan, accompanied by shades of nuts and subtle fruity notes. Mildly sweet-bitter flavour, surprisingly light bodied with a modest carbonation. Pronounced chocolate character with notes of coffee, backed by shy hints of cassis and hoppy spice; moderately sweet and mildly bitter finish, again quite slim with present notes of chocolate. Okay, just a bit disappointing. 14.XII.12

Very dark brown with a red hue. Aroma and flavour are unsurprisingly chocolate, mocha, coffee. These are perhaps too dominant but it’s a great when drunk as a dessert beer.

Bottle at home with Lyoli. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, tan foam head. Aroma holds tons of fragrant chocolate, some dark malts. Medium sweet flavor, lots of chocolate bar, plenty of vanilla, some brown bread. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more chocolate, mellow bitterness, mild filter coffee, some toasty bread. An alright beer. The character is dominated by a not altogether natural-tasting chocolate, but it’s decent stuff none the less.

Bottle: Clear, deep ruby-amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer, distinctive - kind of artificial - traces of milk-chocolate or instant-cacao-powder in the sweet-caramelly nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite slim; bitter-chocolatey finish, some malty sweetness detectable, maybe traces of warming alcohol, too. Not really convincing…
