Bottle. Golden colour with a large white head, leaving a nice lacing inside the glass. Aroma is toasty, English hops and light nuts. Flavor has a decent bitterness with nutty hints. The final has a good bitterness with a dry sensation.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma has a bit of skunkiness, malt - a bit stale-tastining, light fruity hints and a faint hoppy note. Stale and slightly oxidized flavor with malt, some minerally and earthy hops notes and a bit of bitterness.

Bottle at Shanes house, from local offie in Englefield Green, 15/03/13. Clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is caramel, malt, sugar, light hops. Taste follows, caramel, touch of dough, malt, barley. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with a touch of spritz, light bitterness in the finish. Ok - a safe bet I guess but a bit boring thus assuming the classic whelmed rating.

Bottle from a mate who left it behind in my bar fridge...probably from Sainsburys. Honey coloured pour with a white head. Citrus and caramel aroma. Sweet citrus flavour. Lots of malt in there. A splash of bitterness. Bitter finish.

Copper coloured bitter with lots of smooth tasting biscuit malts that make it nice in the palate. Thereโs some mild pale ale character to it too.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark golden brown amber colour, with watery malty yeast aroma, and bubbly white head. Taste is initial sourish caramel burnt dry earthy , with slight hoppy bitterness that lingers, layered against a thin malty sweetish taste. OK bitter.

500ml bottle - golden pour with white head, a little floral in the nose, but dry and citrus in the taste. A little bitter afterwards, but not too unpleasant.
