An ode to one of the wonderful little streets we’re located beside (Daisy Ave), this beer is inspired by the rustic and refined saisons of Belgium and France. Brewed with a hefty portion of spelt malt and and a touch of Vienna, fermented with a blend of expressive yeast strains, while hopped singularly and unsparingly with Amarillo.

Can: Poured a yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of malt notes with some citrusy notes and residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of rustic malt notes with some citrusy hops notes and some ester mix with too much residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. A bit too much residual sugar and lacks some balance.

Draft pour enjoyed T The Magnet, Vancouver. Somewhat cloudy golden appearance. Sharp front, cool constant. Has a cool bubblegum, gentle Belgian linger. Floral and flavorful brew. Unique saison with a little extra on the Belgian golden side. Really tasty brew.

Clear gold with a decent white head. Touch of green apple and sulphur. Light esters and some funk. None of the nose thankfully.

Slight haze, pale. Pretty thick head. There are some phenols to this, and I’m not nuts about that, but it’s okay, lends maybe a bit of plastic to the pale malt base. Not bad, as a basic saison, if it gets a tiny bit tidier I’d be more into it.

Re-rate: Poured from 473mL can (pkg July 18, 2023). Clear-ish blonde gold with white head. Dry cereal malt with very feint floral notes. Meh. Same rating. Feb 14, 2021 (6/3/6/3/13=3.1): Poured from the tap @ Studio. Hazy blonde with white head. Cereal malt, saison yeast. Dry bitterness with some sulphurous notes.

On tap at Studio, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small wire head. Aroma brings out a nice rustic saison yeast character, along with straw and dry cereal malt. Flavour is quite dry, with a fairly bone dry rustic saison yeast character and crisp biscuity malt. Dry and crisp, with great saison yeast expression. Really good.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy blond colour. Dry, a bit spicy and a bit vegetable, the smell is distinctively sulfurous, bold bitterness. Drinkable, but not special.

6oz at the source. Appearance: slightly hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: a bit of strange (with quite aggressive sulphuric notes) with some floral notes Taste: tastes better, more floral notes, a bit malty, crispy, quite hoppy. Overall: it's ok, refreshing.

Good pale straw and nice foam, big weedy funky hops on the nose. Flavour is plenty of marijuana hops, soft pine notes. Full with nice oiliness but not overbearing. A good first impression for this brewery.
