Can online from Cloudwater Nov 2020. Pours deep brown towards black with a tan cap. Aroma: deep roast malts, liquorice, treacle, boozy. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet, fruit cake, dried fruits, chocolate, harsh bitterness, very boozy. Dry finish. Medium to full body with light carbonation. Didn't get on with this at all, the harsh bitterness & booziness ruined it for me.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 27/01/21. Black with a decent tan covering that veers to the edge and forms a swirl atop the glass. Nose is dark fruit rinds, light spice, liquorice, roasted tones, treacle toffee. Taste comprises molasses, fruit cake, dates, chocolate, spice, aniseed, dried fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation with a light oily edge, drying close with a fairly balanced rising boost. Decent enough old skool leaning impy stout ... just a touch raw and boozey in places.
