Kingtide Pacific IPA is brewed with a caravan full of five character hops from the New Zealand and USA coasts of the Pacific Ocean - Rakau, Motueka, Amarillo, Chinook, Citra & Mosaic. True to its Pacific genre, Kingtide weaves a balance between the tropical fruit of the NZ hops and the citrus-pine of the US hops.

Pint at Brewers Cooperative. This is everything a Pacific IPA should be. There’s tropical fruit and citrus and a big hop hit. Absolutely on style and oh so tasty.

Bottle at Bier Ecke, Ho Chi Minh, City. Poured a clear light amber with a thin broken white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is big grapefruit citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry grainy light malt light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Very clear pale amber with a white head. grapefruit, kumquat, gooseberry, some pine, lesser tropical notes - mango, pineapple. The balance of hoppy aroma suits me: not too much of the lush tropical notes, plenty of grass/ gooseberry and US citrus and pine. Sweet with some tropical fruit, not a great deal of malt, but there’s a slight toastiness to it. Moderate to high bitterness. Good, but lacks character (no doubt deliberately).

Bottle from Brothers Beer, Auckland, August 2014. Dark orange with a white head. A lot of hops both in the aroma and taste, also resin, pineapple, grapefruit and some mango. The finish was nicely bitter. A tasty one.
