Cask at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Copper coloured pour with a beige head. Orchard fruit & toffee aromas. Same in the flavour with a splosh of vanilla. Oodles of bitterness in the close.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 21st December 2023. Deep copper with shallow foam and spot lacing. Nutty malts throughout drinking experience from aroma to finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Superb.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear copper colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt, light yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a yeasty, floral, medicinal, light malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty grim. Ordered half a pint and could drink no more than a couple of sips. CAMRA really needs to be speaking to the brewery and / or the bar. Beers like this do the cause no good at all.
